You think you guys will need to upgrade the brakes or 8.4"s do the job?

Yes Steve, thanks. I was able to get the pedals mounted on Sunday. So much left to do, but it feels good everytime you get 1 step closer. 62 has maybe 2 more days left and then pickup. Can't wait to start on my car!

For all G10 1989-2000 3 cylinder engines US$50 + shipping. With that said, I have no idea what the pan-top heads are, 87? I've only worked with early 90's motors, all 3 I actually have had are 1992 engines. The guy is actually closer to you than me, I believe he is in Washington State. He can water jet cut any flange you want if you supply the gasket.

Will those flanges work on the early "pan-top" heads?

That really turned out nice, i prefer the rad mounted in the original position.I have not had any cooling issues in my car with the rad mounted that way, and my car is turbo charged as you know.Let me know when you get her running,i think that is going to be a nice running car.

Not intending to "crap" on anything, I hadn't planned to comment on the weight, until the "Add lightness"  was thrown in;  It was just the opposite of what I was thinking, so I said so.  I know a lot of folks don't care about adding weight, just like many don't care about fuel economy...I really don't understand why;  then I guess a lot of people don't understand a bunch of things that I don't care about, like comfort, or noise; I have 7 cars and not one has AC, heater, clock or radio. I don't even have a sink in the kitchen; don't need one, so I tore it out.  We all consider different things important I guess......any one out there that doesn't care about weight in their Mini, is welcome to this fine boot floor replacement panel:

i know that weight is important in a race type car, but in a street car i do not see a few pounds making a big change

Well I don't want to say I don't care about the weight, but yes they were made a little bit overkill, I have one frame left I may be able to weigh. Otherwise I sold 4 of them last week and only have 1 frame left and I am not planning at this point to make any more due to my health and other commitments this year. As far as an Automatic Suzuki fitting in this frame, I don't see it happening without a decent amount of customization to this frame. With that being said, I test fitted it, and it just didn't make sense to hack it all up to fit a Automatic tranny, it would be best I believe to modify the Stock subframe, that's the conclusion Minsuki/Chris came up with when he was the garage. The tranny from front to back is a decent size bigger.

Anyway, I got a stainless 3 into 1 header, and a nice pressure / turbo hat for the tbi to clean things up under the hood. I'm not knocking on anyone else, just posting what I'm doing.

Lightness?  Where?  I would bet that frame weighs close to double the stock one.  Please post the weight and prove me wrong. (a stock frame weighs 37 pounds).  With the lighter Geo lump, you can get away with even less than stock frame weight. A well designed conversion frame for this motor should not need to weigh more than 30-32 pounds.

Colin Chapman would be proud as you have added lightness - by as much as one adult - YES! Is that the manual trans - I think we all want to see the auto going in too.

Thanks, I caught it before it was to late. Never had brand new cones on the front. I hope they settle a bit. I guess I will have to wait to get the motor in there to get some weight on it.
