Dont forget to install bump stops, easier to do now than after everything is put together.

Paint set up, and then went to building up the suspension. Got the frame back in the car, started building up the brakes, and we went and picked up another low milage Geo Motor on Saturday. Hope to get this thing rolling around in a weekend or two.

Small update, got the frame back out, all the final welds and gussets were made. Now it is drying after using some VHT Chassis Satin Black paint. Stripped his engine bay/firewall and gave that a fresh coat of paint. Hopefully this saturday we will get the frame back in the car with all the suspension bits and new 8.4 brake kit. Mind you I am working on 3 other cars as well right now, so it's been a little hard to juggle. Trying to get this 62 done in 2-3 weekends, then I can focus a bit more on his car, and then onto the Minor and my car for the SC Efi kit. Fun times! Look for pics next week.

Sneak peak, so to make a long story short, we ended up using the 2 Mini Motor Mounts for the rear, and the front right mount, and the stock Geo Motor Mount for the left mount. We test fitted the frame and the engine last Friday, finally!

I have those universal hotrod/v8 rubber mounts that bolt though a plate. Hoping this Friday to finally have everything else pulled. Would be great to have some garage space again. Fun times!

just remember guys the g10 is a naturally vibrating engine, i went thru putting stiffer mounts first, but the vibration was too much....i had to go back to the original g10 mounts, the ones that look like a donut....they isolate the vibration better......good luck

gee....i wish i had a morris minor        chuck

Minsuki! C'mon man, yes I have been working on it. I've been pulling it all out, it's about as much fun as watching water come to a boil. Going to have a go at it tomorrow with my bud and see where I get, I am suppose to pick up a portable 10'x20' garage as well on Friday. Funny how a guys garage can never be big enough. Everything is as you left it. Hopefully playing with the Minor tomorrow some more, got the drop spindles and blocks in yesterday to lower her down another 3 inches.

I worked in conjunction with allspeed engineering. Will have 4 for sale either complete for the G10, or if someone was interested in building there own thing so I have to build less complete ones I would entertain that idea as well. I was just hoping to fill the gap and help a few people that wanted to do the conversion and make it a little more bolt on. Fabbing the motor mounts as we speak.

Yea... it's a Minor, I got it as a father/son project. My dad is super stoked and we have already started working on it. I was waiting to post up when we get it a little further along. It basically is sitting on a 86 Toyota 2wd pickup chassis/brakes/suspension. And the engine/trans, etc is out of a 84 Camaro, as well as the steering column. So it has a v6, 700r4 tranny, tilt column, power steering and brakes. Currently in primer, and almost no interior.

Gonna to do kind of a hotrod look. I started lowering it, 3" in the front, 2" in the rear. Should look pretty mean when she's all done. Have to thank Chuck for giving me the headsup on it, and kind of stealing it from him, sorry dude! I owe ya one, or my pops does.

Teaser/Update, spent some time with Minsuki over the weekend and tried to get the motor in the sweet spot. Think it is about there. Sorry it's been taking so long, but got my hands full with 4 projects right now. Cheers!

A side by side comparison of the two.

Suzuki G10 Engine number 2 pulled. This one is from a 92 and an AUTO! Eeeek. Had to be done.

Lastly the 1275 pulled. 3 engines pulled in 1 day! Oh the joy. This one will be getting the camo geo's 5 speed, and my red one will be getting the Auto...

We are trying to do AC, will use the compressor to mock up. But I know we are going to be tight on space. And yes, the frame on drivers side snapped where the arm was connected. Trying to scrap the car this week, now that I got the motor pulled having a hard time finding a place/person interested. Got one guy that's gonna call me back in a second.
