MINI factory replacement oil SUPPLY line to the Turbocharger.

When servicing the Turbo on the MINI with some miles, it is very important (maybe even critical) that you replace the Turbo Supply line to avoid potential future turbo issues. Over time, the turbo and turbo supply line builds a fine layer of 'coked' or cooked oil on the internal surfaces. When you remove the supply line from the turbo, this disrupts the continuity of the coked layer with great potential of some of the coking to flake free. These coked oil particles can easily clog the fine journals that feed oil to the turbo bearings. Once the the oil flow is compromised, it is only a matter of time for cascading failures that can damage the turbo and catalytic converter!

  • Prime the turbo with fresh oil or turbo additive

Question:
Having recently replaced oil housing gasket, I plan to do the oil cooler gasket and replace turbo oil return hose. Can you remove oil cooler with oil housing remaining on the engine block? Will coolant mix in with oil like when the housing was removed and a oil change required?
Answer:
There is a good chance there will be some cross-contamination between oil and coolant since both ports will be exposed when the oil cooler is removed from the oil housing.

Hi a just looking for a turbo return line for 2013 Mini Cooper s r56 hatchback like the one in the pictures on the website and it shows part #11657583838 that’s the one I need I know they change the part #for 11658617069,both are different on the top a just bought the new one #11658617069 and leaks fits loose the #11657583838 fits perfectly tight,my question is which one is the one advertised on the website..thanks for your help
Answer:
The .838 part was replaced by the .069 part. Our G2NME2219 Oil Return Line is the 11.65.8.617.069.  We are not able to source the 11.65.7.583.838 any longer.
